You Can’t Lie About That

We had a stimulating discussion about portfolios today during which I found myself taking the position that the (only) value added by a University (sponsored) Portfolio was certification, i.e. you really did take this class, do this work, get this grade.  The point being that you couldn’t just make things up which seemed to be important.  On the other hand you can’t exactly lie about creativity; well, I suppose you could steal something but at least you’d be displaying good taste which should count for something.  By way of example, here’s a personal annual report from Cristina Braga, one of the Digital Culture students at The University of Porto, Fine Arts School.
